| Description: | The Cycle Fourth ride will leave from Spring Creek Park on the fourth Saturday of the month. The ride will start at 10:00am and will eventually move to earlier start times as the weather warms up.
This will be a very flexible ride, with distance and speed determined by the whim of the ride leader and feedback from riders. Generally distance will range from 25-40 miles, with a pace of not less than 15mph. The route will be determined well in advance of the ride date to allow for rider input and will be posted on MapMyRide.com.
As with all rides, this will be a no drop ride, with catch-up opportunities throughout the ride, should the group become separated. A food stop may be included, if the route is conducive to such. There will be no formal post-ride socializing location, but riders are free to organize their own get-togethers.
March 27th Ride Specifics:
The proposed ride route was to be a nice, easy 30 mile ride out to Overland Trail, north on Overland Trail, over Bingham Hill, up around the Cement Loop, down Shields to Vine, back over to Overland Trail and then back to Spring Park Fire Station (MapMyRide link: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/co/fort-collins/219126944396660140)
Update: It looks like rain/snow and cold for the morning and early afternoon tomorrow, so there will be no official ride tomorrow. If you are a hardy rider and want to brave the elements on your own, have fun!. |
