Monday November 9th at 6:30 P.M. 

This is a hands on clinic offered by Geoff Landon.  Target audience includes members considering  chain waxing as an alternative to conventional chain lubricants.  During the session, members who bring a new chain cut to length and a quick link will go home with a freshly waxed chain (bikes are optional but welcome).  And note that chain waxing is not a lifetime commitment; when the wax wears off after 300 miles or so, just resume using conventional lubricants.  Topics will include:

• Chain waxing pros and cons
• Things to avoid
• Wax alternatives (drip vs. hot wax)
• Hot wax materials and equipment
• Cleaning the chain (hands on)
• Hot waxing the chain (hands on)
• Sealant types and compatibility (hands on)
• Re-mounting the chain (restoring chain flexibility, bedding in the chain, quick links)
• Tool recommendations

There is no cost for this event.  Pre-registration is required.  The maximum number of attendees is 10; we will have a wait list.  If demand exceeds space available, we will schedule other sessions.  Finally, if there's demand for a daytime session we'll schedule it.  Thank you!
